Learning to knit? How about hunting trolls!

I'm volunteering to teach knitting at my local school to middle school kids.  It's part of a knitting club that was formed.  What fun!  Seriously, it really is!

"I guess I'll learn to knit because it's too cold to go outside." This is what all seven of the little boys said when they joined the lunchtime knitting club. Middle school boys are so funny! I had to come up with a rhyme to help the kids remember how to make the knit stitch. Since they thought my traveling to Norway just to knit and look at trolls was cool, here is the knitting rhyme I came up with. "The troll dives into the cave and out through the back, Runs around the rock, and jumps over a crack! Stick your staff in the cave and hook him by the knee, Pull him out, pull him out, Opps! He's jumped free!"

Testimonials

Nin is an awesome knitting tech editor, she helped me make my written pattern consistent and easy to understand. She is friendly and easy to work with. I would recommend her to other designers.

-- Shauna of Mountian Majesty Designs

Nin tackled a tech edit of a sideways-knit shawl, offered in three different yarn weights, that included a (very large) chart and corresponding line by line instructions. I'm very impressed by her meticulous, thorough tech editing job, and would be happy to have her edit more of my designs in the future.
-- Stephannie Tallent of Sunset Cat Designs

Handing your pattern to a new (to you) tech editor is in some ways like handing your brand new baby to a stranger. Nin made the process painless and treated my patterns the way anyone would want their new baby treated. She made sure the pattern was consistent and got it back to me much sooner than promised. She not only checked the mechanics of the pattern but the esthetics and offered suggestions on how to make it be just that touch above good, to better.
